How Will You Escape From the Wrath to Come?
Wrath is coming!
This warning to you is about the “wrath that’s coming on the entire Earth! ‘Be ready.” That’s the meaning of the message. God’s love affords us the opportunity to receive the truth about Jesus Christ, who is, God the Son. And only through Jesus can we be saved. There is no other way, nor any other path. So we are without excuse. Received the word of God with an open mind. May the Lord open every heart and ear that hears this message. Understanding the scriptures is a gift from God. You might say, “I don’t believe the bible or that God will punish anyone!” Our opinions don’t mean much! It wont change a thing. Nor will it stop God from bringing judgment or wrath on the earth. The Lord gives us warnings after warnings. In Isaiah 26:21 it says, “For behold, the Lord is coming out from his place to punish the inhabitants of the earth for their iniquity, and the earth will disclose the bloodshed on it, and will no more cover its slain.
We were created by a Holy God. We have sinned and we are sinners. Unless God sees you as RIGHTEOUS you will be condemned. The wrath of God is coming against sinful man. What are your choices? You can choose not to address it, or you can wait and see what happens! But I wouldn’t recommend that. The Debtor will come and you will pay. The third choice is to deal with your sins now (more on that later). In Romans 1:18 it says, “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth (That means to bury the truth, or block, hide, cover up or ignore the truth) in unrighteousness.” Men know their sins and some relish it and suppress it, storing up their sins for the wrath to come.
We are about to enter a tribulation period like nothing you have ever seen. It is coming on the earth and it is in our lifetime (based on the signs God has given us concerning Israel in these last days.) Matthew 24:21 - For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. We have never seen anything like the wickedness that is coming upon the earth. (Referenceend times video). What manner of things will happen? Revelation 17:1-18 - And there came one of the seven angels which had the seven vials, and talked with me, saying unto me, Come hither; I will shew unto thee the judgment of the great whore that sitteth upon many waters.” There will be an abominable church that teaches vile things against the kingdom of God and many will follow this church. It is not the church of God. It will be a church that embraces government and sinful abominations.
Revelation 20:4 - And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and [I saw] the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received [his] mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
The Great White Throne Judgment
Revelation 20:11-12 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.
God will punish the ungodly
God will judge the unrepentant and will sentence them to the punishment their sins deserve because they didn’t repent and turn to Christ. Listen to the words of Jesus Christ, who happens to be the Judge. Matthew 10:28 “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him (Jesus) who can destroy both soul and body in hell.” At the judgement, everyone will bow down before Jesus. Yes, the same Jesus who died on the cross and was raised from the dead by the power of God. He will be seated on His throne. He will gather the righteous on the right and the wicked, on the left. What will he say to the wicked? He will say, “Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.” Looking at this passage we can see that God looks at our actions. Our actions are an important part of our lives here on earth. But is that how we are saved?
Why are people condemned?
Whoever is not a believer (Someone who follows and obeys Jesus) in Jesus Christ will be condemned. John 3:36 says, “He that believeth on the Son (Jesus Christ) hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.” Notice it said the wrath of God abideth on Him. Some say that God does not get angry or have wrath towards anyone. Even though God’s wrath isn’t like ours, where we lash out in our anger, the bible clearly teaches that God has wrath towards the wicked, the unrepentant. God has patiently waited for all to turn and repent. He has given us a path of salvation through His Son Jesus Christ and it would be wise for us to seize the opportunity while the door is still open.
A warning to walk in the Spirit
The Apostle Paul here warns about those who will not be spared and he warns not to be like them who will be condemned. In 1 Corinthians 6 it says, “Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.”
In 2 Thessalonians 1:8 it says, “in flaming fire taking vengeance on those who do not know God, and on those who do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.” Noticed in this verse it speaks about knowing and obeying the Lord Jesus Christ. Knowing and obeying are key. That is what it means to believe. There is no believing without obedience. Don’t be deceived, God’s vengeance will be poured out on everyone else. Matthew 5:29 “And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.” It says in Revelation 14:11 “And the smoke of their torment accendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
Jesus is the key, remain in Him
John 15:6 If anyone does not abide in me he is thrown away like a branch that withers; and the branches are gathered, thrown into the fire, and burned. There is no other way to heaven but through Jesus Christ. You can try. You would only be grasping at straws. We are sinners and Jesus paid it all. (All our debts). We owe everything to Him (Jesus). Seek Him!
Realize that Noah preached for more than 100 years to the citizens around him, that God would flood the earth. He warned them to get into the boat before the flood came he warned them to repent and turn to God. They mocked and ridiculed him, like non-believers do today. But Noah was favored in God’s eyes. He wasn’t concerned about the praise of men. The Lord was his refuge and strength.
The first time Jesus came was to make a path for salvation. He came to pay the penalty for mans sins on the cross. The next time He will bring wrath against the inhabitants of the world (more specifically the wicked). Jesus warns in Luke 13:3 “I tell you, no! But unless you repent, you too will all perish.” Jesus opened the path for us. It is the only path that leads to eternal life with Him and the Father. You say, “Well I don’t believe in Jesus.” As I said, He is the only path to salvation. Jesus said in John 10:37-38 “If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe that the Father is in Me, and I in Him.” Jesus is saying that we are to consider the works that he did and choose to believe that he is the Messiah.
Jesus was sinless when He came to Earth, lived and then was crucified. 2 Corinthians 5:21 says He made Him who knew no sin to be sin on our behalf, so that we might become the righteousness of God in Him. We either hate God or we love Him. How do we know if we love Him? If we think we love Him and don’t do as He tells us we deceive ourselves. Jesus being God the Son in heaven made himself low in order to redeem mankind. Philippians 2:7 rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness.
